WatchFence
Daily time windows for YouTube, built for focused study.
WatchFence follows your Mac’s local time. Outside the allowed windows, opening YouTube shows a rules page inside the extension instead of the video. There is no account, no daily time limit and no tracking.
Current rules (version 1.8.1)
- 07:30–09:00: all channels, including search and direct links, for online lessons.
- 18:00–22:00: ordinary videos from one selected channel only.
- Other times: ordinary YouTube videos are blocked.
- Shorts: always blocked.
- YouTube Music: songs and official music videos always play; other items such as fan uploads, talk shows and podcasts play only from 07:30 to 09:00.
